The book Animal Farm is a very interesting book where George Orwell shows the slow process of a corrupt government taking over the place they rule. The rulers in this book are the pigs, which say they are the smartest of the animals. The book starts out with a very good pig named Snowball. He honors those who die, and follow the commandments that they have for their Animal Farm very well. After Snowball comes down from power, a very corrupt ruler named Napoleon comes into power. He trained guard dogs to protect him, and even executes those who do wrong by him. This is a very good read for a 140 page book that demonstrates monarchies, or even dictatorships very well.
I would give this book a 4.5 out of 5 for its realistic connections to the government, and the action and suspense that its contents create. I would recommend this book for most people because this book is a fantasy, but it makes it seem like all of the animals seem like they are people. There were some points of the book that I had even forgotten that the characters were animals. If you guys are looking for a short read for school, or just in your free time, I would recommend Animal Farm.
Why do you think those who come into power become so corrupt? Is it just the fact that they have the power to do things without question? Drop a comment down below and tell me what you guys think.
I think that people always want more power than what they already have.
