Animal Farm Vocab
The book Animal Farm is by George Orwell who wrote the book in 1945. The vocabulary in this book is old fashioned just for that reason. He uses long words that we wouldn't use today and words that aren't used in our everyday vocabulary. He doesn't use old vocab, but more polite vocab. When I say this, I mean replacing, "Do you want", with, "Would you like...?" The long words and old slang are hard to understand, but the words around it make it obvious. When you read an old book, you have to expect hard diction and be ready for it. If you're not, you probably won't understand the book.
